JUNIOR SUMMER SCHOOL

After many years of successful Summer School’s, we are thrilled to announce our dedicated Junior Summer School for August 2027!

This Summer School is aimed at students who are reception to year 7 at school from September 2026 and it will be a super-fun 5 days packed with singing, dancing and acting before putting on 2 wonderful productions in a proper theatre space.

Here’s all of the info you need:

WHICH SHOW? We will be performing Disney’s Frozen (kids version) for our very first Junior Summer School!

WHEN? Tuesday 3rd August to Saturday 7th August

WHERE? Tuesday to Friday rehearsals will take place at CMG Arts, Crane Mead Business Park, Ware, SG129PZ. Saturday 7th August will take place at The Sandpit Theatre, The Ridgeway, St Albans.

TIMES? From Tuesday to Friday, all students will attend rehearsals from 9am to 3pm. On Saturday, students in reception and year 1 will need to attend rehearsals at the theatre from 12.30pm to 2.30pm (please make sure they’ve had lunch before arriving but they can also bring nut-free snacks with them and plenty to drink). Students from year 2 upwards will need to attend rehearsals from 10am to 2.30pm (they will need a nut-free packed lunch, snacks and plenty to drink) on Saturday at the theatre. A late pick-up option until 4pm is available for £6.00, Tuesday to Friday. We will email about booking this in July 2027, ahead of Summer School beginning.

SHOW TIMES? The shows will take place at 2.30pm and 5.15pm on Saturday 7th August and will last approximately 1 hour each. Students must be collected in-between the two shows.

TICKET PRICES? Audience tickets to watch the show are £10 each. Tickets will be released on 1st June 2027.

WHAT WILL MY CHILD BE INVOLVED IN: Students in reception and year 1 will form our mini-chorus. They will get to learn songs and dances but will not be given individual roles. Students in year 2, 3 & 4 will form our main chorus who will be involved in scenes, songs and dances. There may be opportunities for small speaking and singing roles for some in this age group though this is not guaranteed and depends on the show. Students in years 5, 6 & 7 will form the leading cast taking on speaking & solo singing roles. They will have a relaxed and informal audition on the Tuesday morning so we can cast them. They will also form part of the chorus!

Click HERE to book for Reception and Year 1 students (there are 8 spaces for this age group). The cost is £170.00 with a £20.00 non-refundable deposit required upon booking. The remaining £150.00 balance is due over three £50 instalments on 1st May, 1st June and 1st July 2027.
