MUSICAL THEATRE
Experience the magic of the stage in our Musical Theatre classes at Cassana Performance Academy! Following the BBO syllabus, these core classes are primarily dance-based, with opportunities for students to take exams and showcase their progress. Every other year, we stage a full musical production, and all Musical Theatre students are invited to participate—perfect for those who love to perform and want to shine in the spotlight.
TAP DANCE
Discover rhythm and precision in our ISTD Tap classes at Cassana Performance Academy! Students learn classic and contemporary tap techniques, building musicality and confidence with every step. We offer the option to take ISTD exams, and we’re proud to share that in our most recent exam session, 75% of our students achieved distinctions—a testament to the high standard of teaching and dedication in our tap program.
ACRO DANCE
Our Acro Dance classes at Cassana Performance Academy blend dance with acrobatic skills, following the renowned Acrobatic Arts syllabus. Starting from age 3, students safely build flexibility, strength, and balance while mastering exciting tricks and tumbling techniques. With a strong focus on safe progressions and creative movement, Acro Dance is perfect for energetic students who love to move and challenge themselves.
Please note: To join Acro, students must also be enrolled in a core dance subject such as Musical Theatre or Ballet. This ensures a strong foundation and supports safe, progressive learning.
COMMERCIAL DANCE
Step into the spotlight with our Commercial Dance classes at Cassana Performance Academy! These fun, high-energy lessons focus on learning dynamic choreography inspired by the latest music videos, stage shows, and pop culture. Students get to explore a wide variety of styles and influences that fall under the commercial dance umbrella, building confidence, creativity, and versatility—all while having a blast with their peers.
Please note that up to the end of year 2, the equivalent class for their age is called pop-dance.
AERIAL HOOP
Take your dance skills to new heights with our Aerial Hoop classes at Cassana Performance Academy! Led by Acrobatic Arts qualified teachers, this class combines strength, flexibility, and artistry as students learn to perform stunning movements in the air using a suspended hoop.
Please note: To join Aerial Hoop, students must also be enrolled in a core dance subject such as Musical Theatre or Ballet. This ensures a strong foundation and supports safe, progressive learning.
LYRICAL DANCE
Express emotion through movement in our Lyrical Dance classes at Cassana Performance Academy. This un-set class allows students to explore storytelling and musicality, blending elements of ballet and contemporary dance for a truly expressive experience. To join Lyrical, students must also be enrolled in both Musical Theatre and Ballet, ensuring they have the strong technical foundation needed to fully enjoy and excel in this style.
MUSIC LESSONS
At Cassana Performance Academy, we offer a diverse range of music lessons, including Singing, Guitar, Bass Guitar, Piano, Violin, and Music Theory. Whether students want to follow a graded syllabus or simply develop their skills for the love of music, our experienced teachers tailor each lesson to individual strengths and interests. Lessons are available as one-to-one or small group sessions, making them perfect for beginners and advanced musicians alike.
Music Lessons are taught on a 1-2-1 basis.
BALLET, CONTEMPORARY & JAZZ
We are proud to work in partnership with the Georgina Pay School of Dance, offering our students access to high-quality Ballet, Jazz, and Contemporary classes. With expert teaching and a supportive environment, these classes are perfect for developing strong technique and artistry alongside your training at Cassana Performance Academy.
